Health Benefits of Swimming

The benefits of swimming pools are apparent to many. Whether you are looking for family time, fun gatherings, getting a little extra sunshine, cooling down on a hot day (especially nice in the high mountain desert heat here in Utah), or one of the many other reasons to own an in-ground swimming pool, you’ll be happy you built one.

You don’t have to take our word for it. The NHS says that swimming regularly can reduce the risks associated with some of things like type 2 diabetes, stroke and heart disease. This study found that swimming reduced pain levels in MS patients. The same study suggests that swimming was more effective for these patients than out-of-pool therapy and had results that last 4-10 weeks beyond the pool therapy sessions.

Swimming is a low-impact activity and can be very helpful for people, who, for various reasons, find high-impact activities difficult.

The CDC summarizes the reasons to swim by saying that it improves mental health, increases family connects for families with a child with developmental challenges, and that it is particularly beneficial for pregnant mothers improving their mental health and the health of the pregnancy.

These are some of the many reasons to consider a fiberglass swimming pool for your Utah backyard. The in-ground pools we install are installed faster, last longer and require less maintenance than a concrete pool. (You heard that right, they actually last longer). If you haven’t seen the clear, clean water, felt the amazing “gel” coating, and experienced the lower maintenance and lifetime warranty, give us a call or text at 801-389-5633 for a fast, fun, free estimate.

We think you’ll be convinced that our options are the best for a Utah swimming pool. We even include things like an upgraded heater, expanded concrete surrounds, slides, and more. To check out our options, visit our pool supplier’s website.
